Don't wanna go to Nissan as I am a paranoid individual p and believe it will leave with new issues :lol

Just since ownership I haven't replaced any bushes or anything like that.. Now my poor old girl takes some beating and is under rather a lot of stress.

Also I have noticed an occasional clonk when leaning round corners sometimes ect... Seems to have stopped now... Probably fallen off :lol:lol:lol

Anyone local who can properly diagnose worn ballpoints and bushes ect, had a look myself with wheels off but don't know how to check really :nenau

Get a pry bar and with the truck on the ground work the bar between all the joints checking for any play/movement and clunking noises. Best i can explain:doh

With the front wheels off, look at all the rubber bushes and ball joint boots. If they look perished or cracked they'll need replacing :)

When mine developed a clonk in front it was first of all the steering stops needing grease, and a bit later the anti-roll bar drop links and bushes. Check the workshop download section, good info in there!

Probably the cheapest, quickest and most reliable way is to stick it in for a pre-MOT. They check the lot for you.

As far as the clunk on cornering goes, it could be the rear spring spacers, especially as you have no anti-roll bar. I stopped mine for a while, but this hot weather seems to have set them off again. I am hoping to get longer springs in the next month or so, and do away with them, as they are driving me nuts.

You work in a garage ask one of the lads to check it over & i'm sure he'll be happy with some beer for his trouble:augie

I am restraining myself from making a comment...:augie

I think all the options have been answered except one. :naughty

Lol cheers chappies, as it happens I had the front wheels off yesterday to refit and test the front spacers, all was good btw

I did try and pull the front wheel up and down to which one side did have a bit of play, which I think is coming from the upper ball joint??? Not so familiar with this. Slight cracking of rubber too.

Well from what I can work out is that it needs a few parts replacing, the driver being the most urgent :lol:lol:lol

Needs some decent bumpers installing too:lol:lol:lol

i still recon its your bottom ball joint my surf clunked for bout 6 moths & could find the fecker....til it seperated :doh all good & sorted now tho....well except a hole in the rad :doh
