do you need papers for trailer in spain?
So I'll explain....
Basically my partner has obtained through inheritance a 16ft flat bed with drop down sides pretty sure it's an of or williams In good condition. There's also a Saab 900 (scrap or restoration) & a dihatsui terios (drivable but, flat battery) now all of these are in a villa in Spain near zafra. Does anyone know if these vehicles need papers to travel on the roads in spain? These may be available as a package for sale also Cheers guys |

Have a look here http://www.tumbit.com/how-to-guides/...d-the-law.html
My trailer was bought in Spain and had Spanish papers. It'll mainly depend on where the towing vehicle is registered. |

If both are on UK plates you won't need Spanish papers unless the towing vehicle has exceeded the time allowed until you need to register as Spanish. These things never used to be a problem, the crisis and Guardia Civil bonuses have changed all this now.
A Spanish car can't tow a UK trailer without homolganisation, this only matters if the Guardia Civil stop you and ask you for your papers though. Where are the cars registered? What are their current state of insurance? What the the log books say regarding residency? More details needed. |

Assuming you want it all back in the UK, if the Terios is drivable (and reliable) that would be the cheapest option to drive back, have a holiday on the way, then try a visit this site https://www.uship.com/uk/ put the Saab on the trailer and the trailer in a lorry.
A friend of mine used them to get a Patrol from north Scotland to Andover, it cost him £300, door to door all loading/unloading done, insurance is the transporters responsibility and it was done within 24 hours with no hassle. Just a thought |
