Default Got stuck today

Yep how embarassing, had a 4 wheel trailer on (not mine) to tranship dirt to an old job for backfill, made a mess of the trailer so pulled off onto the grass so that I could wash it with the hose without mucking up the road, up hill with a shallow slope away from the road lost traction in 2 wheel and trailer made the rear end drift downhill, selected 4 wheel and nothing, first time I had used it with this motor, and had not bothered to check the hubs, now this customer has loads of vehicles including 4 x 4 but none with a tow point, so had to ring the Mrs to come and tow me out with her T2, needless to say replaced the off side hub which had a broken brake ring, bad day, and before you say it yes working Sunday as so much on, Rick

Guess it happens to the best of us then and with a Mechanical defect it's the perfect excuse

I love the fact Maggie came and saved you too!

I was expecting to see a picture of Ricks mud monster up to it's winscreen in gloop

At least you got it fixed mate and it wasn't just a case of the truck not being able to do the job in question.

Good job you were moving soil and not turf...
That would have been a sod of a job...

Note to moderator,
in the above context the word "sod" is not a swear word, so should not be moderated.

I'm surprised that Rick didn't get round to checking those locking hubs, I guess with all the other 4x4's he has been sorting, he hasn't had the time.
Nice to know it is great now, and that he had a solution to hand at the end of the phone, phone home ...

Rick should have this bumper sticker...

I told you my other car was a Terrano too..
Or
I told you my other car was a Terrano II..

Either would be correct.
Or extending that..
I told you my other car was a Terrano to ...tow me out of this ...mire..

i did a good deed with my t2 yesterday.out caravanning and a big land rover,do not know what, stopped at end of field to recycle stuff,it was there for a bit then the bonnet was up so watched a bit, turned out to be a lady on own so went to see if i could be of any help.
seems they had a new battery then that failed then they had another under warranty, any way what is wrong, wont start, what are the symptoms i ask, wont turn over, please put head lights on,she does not the brightest of lights and turns them off.please try to start i said, click click.i said it might be a low battery or the sollonide not throwing in.what does that mean, well you have had 2 batteries and now it wont turn over.however i will get you started with a short tow which i did,i explained to get the charging system starter motor and glows checked as it all started by not starting in the morning.
off she drove and i hope she was happy.mind you i did say to her about the bonnet up club.

Alex, do you actually read peoples posts and understand them before you reply...

Have a read again, the Landrover was not Jump started, you will see it was a tow start.
