The good garage guide
Hello to everyone
With the blessing of Mav, Extreme and I thought it would be a good idea to start a list of the good garages in your area to help poeple like me  find the good garages all over england that we can go to in times of need on our travels if we breakdown or if can not do the jobs ourselves and for mots and parts. I will start it off with the garage that helped me get my terrano sorted they were very helpful and did'nt charge me a fortune. I hope you will all add to the list  1. Sorry to hear that Elty
Perhaps I was just lucky this garage has looked after my vw for a few years they do all my mots and give me a chance to put little jobs right and then re-test for the same price. I hope there are some more good garages out there |

There is an excellent garage a couple of miles from me. I don't suppose there are many members in this area though.
Bill Stephen Motors Golf View Brechin DD9 7QU I haven't had the Nav there but he has done some good work on my previous Santa Fe (cough), has done SHMBO MOT's for a while and didn't rip her off with her previous car. He also does most of the recovery in the area (A90). His son has a Hi-Lux with a serious lift (18"?) and a 3.5litre V8 fitted - what a tool, but probably useless on a day to day basis. cheers Graham |

Thanks Graham
Glad to hear of another good garage -cheers- If I am out and about and I break down and call the AA it would be good to have a list of good garages to get them to take you too  Another good reason to do this list  |

Some of the guys at work take their cars to Falcon Performance in Middlesbrough.
They'll tweak and service just about anything on 4 wheels and I've not heard any horror stories. |

I think siweb would agree with me that....
A.T. Autos Unit 16 Brookside Court, Scrooby Lane Parkgate ROTHERHAM S62 6NX ...are very competent and trustworthy. They are Skoda, VW, Audi specialists but work on all sorts of vehicles including modified and competition cars. Chris, the owner, is a customer but also now a friend of mine. |

Good garage guide for Mavericks and Terranos.... must be the smallest publication in the world.
When I first got the Mav in 1995 I tried every Ford dealer within a 25 mile radius, South Staffs and the Midlands, not one could do the service correctly, and I needed the Dealer stamp to keep my 3 year warrenty. I then used a local Nissan dealer and things were better but for the past 5 years I have been doing all the work myself.

Don’t forget that we have a member that works in the parts department at a Nissan main dealer in Suffolk, He will give you a good price on any new part and a very good postage rate too.
All he needs is your chassis number when you enquire about parts. You can PM him too, His user name is hammond1026. Another helpful garage to add to your list Willow. |

Ultimately can tis thread be tidied up to just a list of garaes (or them put in a nw thread elsewhere) or they are going to get lost in the discussion - the discussion is good now but in the long run the list will be more useful.
