hi grant, i have run my last few vehicles on veg oil, all i can say is avoid oil that has had meat cooked in it, it has a bad rep for glooping b4 the vegetarian food fryers. also, run your engine at the ratio it is happy at, don't go for maximum and sacrifice starting /running issues. beware the cold snaps(even in summer!). when you turn that key off at the end of the day that is what you are starting your engine on. as for oil filters, ive done 23k on same filter but will be changing it this week, every truck is different. had an old vw t4 that was well happy at 90% whereas some had issues over 60? good luck

break her in gently, i always say 50/50 first is not going to trouble any engine,if it does its an engine issue like plugs or relay. you will be fine
