My Birthday
In a few months I hit half a hundred years old
I am rarely bothered by birthdays as far as getting older is concerned. Only time I was really bothered was on my 40th. I was laid up on the sofa with a really bad back while my horse was down the field dying. Really depressing! At best I hate the day because everyone wants a piece of me because it's my "special day". Well if it is my special day how come I don't get to do what I want instead of what is expected of me? Best thing about getting old is I already have everything I want or need, no real dependants any more and all my money I earn is for me to do what I want with. Quite nice really plus I do what I want when I want. Anyway. On my 50th I have decided I am going to be sat on a remote beach, somewhere the other side of the world, fishing and with a few cold ones to hand. Not sure who with yet, probably with my son and on my own hasn't been totally ruled out just yet. Just paid the deposit on this. 4.5 V8 Diesel should get me there |

I hit the mid way this year, had a family and friends party, it was a great night, then we went away for the weekend.
When I hit 40, I had never been in hospital or never been really ill...no broken bones etc., anyway, in my 40th year, I had a kidney stone...stayed in hospital for the 1st time, tough wood, I have been OK since. Sounds like your 50th should be fun |

I hear its all down hill after 50
im not far off that mile stone now meself. I have been in hospital near death twice now you don't have to be of a certain age for bad things to start happening. Im still here and living life to the full well as much as funds allow bucket list? I cant honestly think of anything to put on it apart from goin strata and surrounding areas again |
