well the h.w.j came today and I will not be fitting them yet as we have lots of rain just now

That's because you have not plugged them in and turned them on, that's when they become "HOT".

Please tell me you did that on purpose...

just finished them off today, by that i mean i secured the wiring as you can see, i remover the under cover as its gay, i am nos just waiting for some wire conduit to arive and then the wires for the light will be covered
