Just looked on your ebay shop

You've got em all on buy it nows

There's a bunch of fees to start with

Some are collect only, some have post some dont ?
Descriptions are minimalist at best

Start them at 99p do loads of pics, good descriptions , include post etc

I'll actually modify them just now when I remember, thing Is, will I not make a loss if I list a light unit at 99p and someone bits at a pound?, that's my fear.

doesn't look to me your using ebay shop feature.

Don't worry about auctions too much as I think auction and buy it now fees are the same, In my opinion the stuff your selling is ok as a buy it now but if they price is too high no one will buy. It's knowing what to sell them for is a fine art.

also use the basic listing, no extra pics etc, if you need extra pics upload them to photobucket and link the html code into ebay.

good title, description and good price on postage is key.

Heavy items can be sent cheap via www.interparcel.com

I've been on ebay for 7 years now, Started it when I was like 16. Now making a few quid, Nothing huge but helps with beer tokens: http://myworld.ebay.co.uk/fez_2005

Buy it now does cost more. You could do a higher start price if you want.
For the amount of stuff you have there it's pretty easy to manage that lot, especially as you're not working

You've told us your fees are over 40% so your profit is shot already isn't it ?
What Fez says is true but for max profit you need to massage things along eh

so start at 99p but you're mate then puts on a bid of the min price you want. It'll sit at 99p till someone else bids , then you're in

You'll know what bid they're upto, you're mate then drops out or ups it as you need

the insertion prices for buy it now are 40p and auction insertion fees vary:

but there is not a whole lot of difference.

final value fee of 10% is the same when you pay if it sells for both buy it now and auction.

Agreed that's why I said put phone no. on too so you always have a chance of a deal off ebay

I'm just suggesting with time spare, the system can be manipulated somewhat

I had my account suspended on EBay this week, I bought something last week and went and collected and paid cash. The whole transaction was done on my phone.

Now because the seller did not complete the transacion on EBay and state that i had collected and paid cash EBay decided that i had bid and not paid and suspended my account.

There is no "Mark as paid" on a phone app.

I contacted them and was told i needed to contact the seller as he was the only one who could cancell the dispute. I would point out he did to raise it though it was EBays automated system that checks accounts.

So in short if you end off of EBay this could happen to you, if you end off of Ebay and mark the item sent you will still get charged.

Technically yes but with millions of transactions every day , so what. Just have more than one ebay account. Surely you've got more than one ?

I can't tell you how many times my ebay chums and I have bought each others stuff, BUT just follow through the ebay system. Relist it even if it's sold last week

well it would as you paid on-line, but he paid cash and the seller did not tell Ebay, Rick
