Default Just to say hello

Greetings,
I have just joined the club having acquired a 1997 Terrano 2.7 SWB which is intended to replace my 1990 3 litre petrol patrol (now for sale). I got the Patrol to pull my daughter's horse trailer occassionally and it is a beautiful beast - but thirsty. So I got the Terrano hoping it will be economical enough to replace my saloon car as day to day travel, but also be capable of pulling the horsey. We will see.
I live in the North Notts area between Doncaster and Gainsborough. Are there any reputable repairers of Terranos and such in the area that come recommended ? Me not being mechanically gifted.
My Terrano appears to be endowed with some of the more popular ailments, - suspect maff sensor , sticky accelerator, dubious glow plug relay, possibly others. Thanks to this site I have already got an idea how to sort one or two things out, but will submit questions to relevant forum re others in due course.Just changed the oil and filters and never spilled so much of the black stuff before, never mind, adds a certain patina to the block paving.
Once again , hello to all,
John

Hi Schultz

I bought my terrano for exactly the same reason-to tow my horse.

I have taken it out, hitched up once so far.....It towed like a dream!!!! I had to keep checking to make sure it was still attached!

I am towing an Ifor HB505 and horse weighs about 500kg so well inside towing ability.

Your daughter should love it too!

oh and welcome to the club

Pigglet xx
