its updated every 5 mins

They would never be able to get it to stream live video, so as briggie said they update 1 photo every 5 mins or so. But it does give you an idea of how the motorway is running if you needed to use it.
I find it very help full as i can swap routes and avoid the M1 if its blocked up.
