Thats the problem with second hand Parts like brakes, you can't always trust them

The lips have gotta be at least 4mm too much metal missing off discs for me , am real touchy about brakes cos do lot of miles, inc postage 2 new discs , pads fr+rear copper slip, brake cleaner = £ 125.31 new disc for terrano 2 = £40.70 X 2 Cos never change on their own think seems ok price ?

now I'm really not a very fussy person when it comes to cars, but there is no way i would use second hand brake parts, have you tried getting advice on the official minimum thickness and then getting them measured with verniers. Then you might get away with just pads, job done - or for peace of mind just swap the lot

I generally use brakeparts.co.uk for all my stuff. Even commercials. Very good firm well priced.

at the very least, if the discs don't last you will have scrapped a new set of pads, so false economy if nothing else

Yes handbrake shoes are inside the disc- most makes do this now.

They also do calipers, and you will need at least one at some point in your custodianship of an xtrail !!!
