MOT Day Tomorrow
Well I've given her a good looking over, fixed exhaust bracket. Checked for anything loose, found rear number plate flapping about so removed and put loads of double sided tape on there. Checked the lights and replaced a brake light bulb. Given her a good wash and even found time to give her a coat of polish. She looks fantastic just hope the tester thinks so too
Wish me luck Jim |

Well big thumbs down guys
Centre Steering Drag Link Small Hole in the Sill Advises Rear Arches near seat belt mounts that have been done once and the NS Front inner wing and wheel arch now have F******g big hole in now they've had a good poke around. So far quote for sill £30 and £150 plus to do the rest of the welding. I have not got a clue about the drag link price yet but I'm sure I heard somewhere that one of the links is very difficult to get hold of. Jim T |

Drag link is easy to do
Just need to undo the steering arm joint and the track rod end ball joint on both sides Simples. You shouldn't need to re track either if it was ok before PS, can I have your old drag link please |

Cheers Makeitfit, is it easy to part the joints?
Well a what a club we have here, Larson is coming over to take a look at the welding on Sunday. Clivvy is going to borrow a MIG, hope he can fly it tho So all being well we will decide when best to do the welding and off we go. Thinking about taking the motor across to garage that MOT'd Clivvy's. Not 100% sure the drag link is buggered and that garage couldn't fault Clivvy's drag link. I guess it depends on whether it's within the ten days to take it back to where it was tested today as it'll be a free retest if all the work has been done. Jim |

If you have to crack a joint, er HIT IT with a good size hammer on the end of the casting A decent twatting usually does the job
It distorts the metal for a split second and bingo, bob's your fanny's aunt |
