No it doesn't, pls expand. I dont know why anyone would want to hack your account (or anyone else's ) but if its a problem that's going to kick off.
You weren't going by the "members on line" bit once signed out were you |

Unless there's any other indication eg details changed, its highly unlikely you've been hacked. Those on line lists are notoriously inaccurate and only update at certain intervals anyway. Thats when they're working properly.

guys, I spoke to pete earlier, let me explain.
what Pete did was log onto the garages computer, to show them a diagram form the club. you'll notice that when you go to log onto the site, "remember me" is ticked by default, so it seems when Pete logged on, his details are saved and voila, they have had full access to his account. I would say he's been hijacked, but its very likely that they have used his account to follow the threads. Pete has had alook, doesnt look like they have been posting anything or doing anything malicious, end of the day Petes the one who signed in on thier pc, the details are saved and all they had to do was re open the page and its straight in as them. pete has reset his password, which should help. at least this may be some explanation as to how they were following the thread so easily, besides, im not saying they definately have, its just from what Pete has said, its very likely. As an example, Pete told me he went to visit the site one day without logging in, and he could see his user in the list of online members. so, what Pete means is beware of the default "remember me" tick box when logging on in strange places..!! |

Ahh so user error rather than being hacked
They must have been laughing their tits off. Easy money and a chance to prepare the defence. ****ers. |

sort of academic since this thread (and most of Briggies others) are in the Pub Thread which is visible to anyone who wants to look - its only the technical forums and so on that are Private until you pay your subs.

pete (briggie) at what point did you become aware of this ? leaving your account details on someone elses computer.
when did you start to suspect ? absolutely no chance of chasing our money back from the garage. so really not impressed and if you or anyone suspects something is amiss with there accounts , lets hope you contact either bat or a moderator as soon as you have a problem . then it can be rectified swiftly. |
