Hi everyone,just joined the club,i live in coventry and drive a Maverick 2.7TD 1995 LWB 2.7TD a great car if i say so myself.Looking forward to speaking to a few of you and share interests,i,m married with two grown up sons and enjoy caravanning (i know) pike fishing and walking.

Welcome to the site. Don't have grown up kids myself. All five of mine are under 6 years of age. One of the reasons I like the Terrano so much is the room for all the family, the dog, bags and the host of other items that can fit into it when heading off for a few days. And it does not look and drive like a small bus.

they do make for a great tugger of the old caravan... i forget mines there some of the time!

but i know what you mean, some times as " Dad's Taxi" Ive got a cello and two violins in the back..

As a matter of interest mav161 does your wife drive the Maverick? My missus is learning to drive in my Terrano 2.7TDI LWB. Think she finds the size of it a bit daunting although she at least says it is a "real" car. Unfortunately I'm not into to caravanning, haven't gone fishing in years and don't walk as a hobby so would probably bore you to tears. Hope you find the site of interest.

Zippy656, the kids are a bit bonkers at times but they are very funny as well. Even take one or two along with me at times when going driving in the fields. Only time I got the T2 stuck oldest fella was with me. Got bored after a few minutes and legged it off home and left me and the truck stuck in mud and trees in the rain. But that's another story. The T2 is a great packhorse for a family and does stand-up well enough to kids walking on upholstery, pulling knobs, removing covers etc. I could probably even turn the T2 into an eight seater and fit one more if I was really looking for trouble.

Welcome, i only have the 4 kids (3,4,7,11). the truck makes a great mover of all the stuff you have to take everywhere: pram, bags of food/sweets/juice/milk/nappies/wipes/jars of patience/spare clothes/sanity.

The club is excellent, like many others have said good guys giving good advice. will save you ££££'s on keeping the T in good order, and good place to have a rant

Where do you fit the jars of patience and the sanity. I used to keep them on the floor just behind the drivers seat until we needed to fit the dog in there.

i have to use the super concentrate versions, they just fit into the the little cubbybox between the two front seats

Hi danielj thanks for the reply,my wife took to the old mav (the car that is not me) like a duck to water,the only prob she has is parking it you will usual find it on its own in a far corner of a car park.LOL
