Default Insurance, not sure where to post this

Hi Guys,
First of all, this site great, I have learned more about my recent Terrano II since coming on here than I could have hoped for from a book.

I love my motor, but there is a fly in the ointment. I have always managed to get a good deal through Tesco (don't shoot me) and again, they gave me a good price fully comp etc for the Terrano. Then the bombshell, do it have a cat 1 or 2 alarm immobiliser fitted? No idea I said, its the one fitted at the factory, do i have a certificate? Nope says me.....to cut a long story short, the jobs worth script reader on the other end of the phone tells me I am covered, but not for theft until I produce and engineers certificate to say if its cat 1 or 2. What a pain....

HELP !!!

Pete

I used money supermarket website and as it happened kwikfit came in with the best price for a full cover policy with CoOp Insurance. I get a free MOT with them too, not that I really fancy them doing one, but its free!

And big charges if you want to make a change mid term - also not go the best reputation with claims, though I can't speak from personal experiance.

I've moved from the likes of Adrian Flux and Sure Term (both so called 4x4 specialists) to NFU. I saved around £150 for better cover. Business in place of SDP, unlimited mileage against 5000mile policy etc and the excess dropped too IIRC
