yeah
diff lockers as standard
power stearing
manual gearbox

it would still put any modern landrover to shame
and probably keep up with a new land cruiser

was the best of its time. i have seen these sell for 10k for a nice one
and the factory tuned ones up to 40k for a minter ... only last year

they are the cream of 4wd, even the green oval brigade give them the credit they deserve and that rarely happens

im lost for words

to make a landy do what this will now will cost a thousand +
still pretty in my eyes.
anyway are you suggesting i should look for a new model with curves in all the right places and a big upkeep bill

rather than a nice mature model that requires respect and some loving and wont really want for much

So a bigger hole now

what makes you think a more mature model would need less attention it will need more

and a lot of time to restore it to its former beauty after lots of abuse from previous owners

sure id need patience and and time but im sure i could restore it to near perfect. although it dont sound like its that messed up now.

im not expecting to just wave my wand at it and expect it to shine. but i recon i could caress it back to feeling loved again

maybe even paint a little smile on it while im at it
