Default extremely happy

well i stripped the front end down and replaced
track rod ends
stearing idler
stearing bar

and got rid of that 1 inch difference between the wheels stearing

so im well happy albeit very poor

still got loads of roll and dive

while it was all off and i had the tools out and with my other terrano i had a fiddle with the suspension.... it appears that on the standard set up when you wind the torsion bars up 2 inches this also lifts the damper up 1 inch. so that is leaving 1 inch of really spongy soft damper before you get the the harder ride that you experience with standard set up.

i had some 2 inch extension bars for suspension but feel these are just a little too long to fit right now..... ideally i want to add to the dampers the 1 inch im loosing off the damper by winding the torsion bars up

the extensions just bolt onto the top of the standard dampers pushing them down so they should feel like standard just higher

i think this is probably the 4-6 inch dive im experiencing at the very front and definitely not helping with roll either

i hope to source some 1-1.5 inch spacers tomorrow when i get the tracking re set and balanced ready for some fast stuff..

unless any of you know where i can get some extension bars from for my bampers

id like to try this meathod before i just put the arb back on the front

your thoughts are invited

oh by the way i ordered the parts from milners at 3.40 yesterday and took delivery at 10.30 am today. now thats bloody quick, just wish they did a club discount something for bat to chase up

If you're shocks are have little resistance for the first inch or so of travel then they are knackered - they should have a constant rate throughout their travel.

Gas pressure had nothing to do with damping rate it is simply a by product.
