Default My new off roader

As most of you know I've been looking for a new toy for some time and wanted another Patrol.

I bought and collected this today, fully off road prepared, 11 months test 6 months tax, insured it fully comp, paid to go and collect it (taxi) and filled the tank with diesel all for less than I've been bidding for Patrols.

It needs some tidying up in places, but will do me as a second vehicle and not overly worried if I bump bang or scratch it off road.

All I know about it is,

1. Its been used for transporting mud between venues.

2. The previous driver liked storing chewing gum, fizzy sweets, broken glass and 2p pieces in strange places.

3. Judging by the interior its probably been stored submerged.

4. It was cheaper than I expectred and the drive whilst still agricultural is surprisingly smooth and far better than I expected.

I have some extras to fit now and it will be out for a trial this weekend.

Thanks guys, I can take it especially after all I give out :

I'll be underneath it getting comfy later, when I go look at the oil leaks, bought a new matteress specially.

Had to use the old gaffer tape already as I can't get the hazard swithch to switch off. Its probably that used to being on ops: :

Also want to remove the go faster stickers and replace with Nissan and Maverick ones.

Can't wait to try it off road now, and will give it a spin this weekend. I'm also gonna start saving for some bigger wheels - like I had on the Patol. Don't want to spend too much too soon as my ultimate boss wants the house finished first. I've been decorating and redoing the house generally for over 18 months - I keep telling her you just can't rush these DIY things :

funny but i have also been looking at disco's and landies' recently, however Dan came home having bought a swb T2 2.7 for our new project today so i have been saved, for now :

I agree though plenty of spares available for them at good prices i have even seen a set of wheels and mud tyres for a disco at a car boot sale recently!

have fun with it!
