wood selector
A blind man goes for a job in a wood yard as a wood selector .... The boss says, I feel it only fair and right I can approach you over the matter regarding you’re lack of sight relating to the job in question.
The blind man tells him he understands and that his lack of vision would in no way impair his ability to perform the job in a satisfactory manner. His method of wood selection is done by smell. Right said the boss can we get started ... the boss places a block of wood under the blind man nose and asks him to take a sniff ... that Sir is Pine ... correctly judged said the boss ... another example if you please? ... sure said the blind man ... The boss places another piece of wood under the blind man’s nose ... he takes a sniff, that is Mahogany, correct again said the boss. Again said the boss? ... yes said the blind man ... he again places a block of wood under his nose and the man sniffs it ... this said the blind man is a more challenging sample ... I’d say it was a Non-Kiln dried, 10 year old free standing atmospherically dried piece of Teak! ... very good said the boss. And finally the last example if you will! ... at that the boss beckons his secretary over and yanks her knickers down round her ankles ... he then strategically places the secretaries a*se near the blind man nose ... the man takes in a sniff’ters and immediately requests the sample be turn round, this the boss does ... a short while later the blind man says ... you’re trying to trick me! ... this is obviously an old sh*thouse door off a fishing boat. |
