Car cover/tent thingy
After a bit of advice please.
I need to get on with my old cortina project. Trouble is it will need to be stored outside for days at a time when the workshop has other stuff going on. Bodywork still going on , so will often have bare metal. Does anyone know of a cheap outdoor cover, that will keep the rain off but not sweat either ? Thankyouplease |

CostCo Breathable Car cover
I bought one from CostCo about 8 years ago it is a grey coloured textured type of breathable PVC outer layer with a soft inside like a flannelette cotton sheet. It has loops front sides & rear. I use a bungee strap to stop the wind from blowing it off. I have used it outside but TBH I use it mostly as a dust cover in the garage on our R129. They had 3 sizes I went for largest but it is a tad too long.
It cost around £85 in 2010 not seen them in stock recently but there are a lot on sale on flea bay. If you do not have one with a soft lining there is a risk of abrasion damage to your paintwork over time due to wind flapping. https://www.ebay.co.uk/p/All-Seasons...from=R40&rt=nc Not sure what brand it was but it had RAC logo on the packaging. You can get cheap but they will probably rip quickly. |
