Brake pipe and fittings
Ok, what brake pipe do peeps recommend.
Copper or Kunifer/cupro nickle. Fittings Brass, zinc plated or Stainless |

Cunifer on mine, no idea about the fittings. Probably not stainless steel, for the I paid. I had them made for me at the local motor factors, took the old ones as template.

Banshee used cunifer on his I believe but he said it is hard to work with due to it actually being harder

Nought wrong with copper. will outlast your motor if fitted now, and is easy to form, for what it is worth, Rick

not made any for a long while but i only ever used copper in my working life.still got flare tool box in shed and tube.

Kunifer User from when it first appeared in UK shops in the 1960's
I still have a part roll of Kunifer Brake Pipe in my garage. I have used it for decades with standard nickle plated unions.
I think I am on my fourth roll and the current one I bought about 10 years ago. Modern brake pipes seem to last longer what with the plastic coatings this might be my last ever roll. lol |

Also if you are out offroading and blow a slave cylinder it's probably easier to bodge fix it if it's malleable copper.

I am currently doing a restoration using Kunifer pipe, now starting my 3rd roll I think the nuts are probably just electro plated mild steel though. I have not noticed that kunifer pipe is difficult to bend without kinking it.
