Default Wanted, SNOW CHAINS.

Morning Guys,
I am after some chains to fit tyre size 285/70/17
That's about 102" long. I only need 1pair as not enough room on front.
Cheers Paul.

I have a pair of snow chains in the workshop, I will try and check in the next few days to find their size.

You have a Nissan Patrol not a wide tyred, low slung BMW. I would have no problem driving my truck through snow, I have driven the T2 through lots of snow and up some pretty steep snow covered hills with out chains.

Snow socks are crap in my opinion, used to see dozens of them littering the roads having come off vehicles.
Chains are brilliant when there is a good layer of snow, better all round option is winter tyres, but as you're just need chains to comply with the law, there's no need for winter tyres. Just learn how to fit chains before you go as it's not advisable at the side of the road at -5ºC. The other tip is to fit them the night before a snowfall as it's easier to take them off in the morning if the snow doesn't fall.
