Default Front Cross Member Repair Panel

Hi all, just toying with an idea for my son. He's at college doing an engineering course and has gained experience with the project car we have.

We are just wondering about making a few cross member panels to earn him a little pocket money whilst he's at college.

So how many people would be interested and how much do you think they would be worth. The panel will comprise of a new box section cross member and mounting plates to bolt it to the front panel. All the radiator holes and brackets will be there. It'll just be a case of paint it and bolt it to your Terrano, now welding required unless your body mounts are rotted of course.

A brand new x member for a patrol is £269 from Nissan which isn't the same I know but similar to terrano's. I would of gladly paid £50 for a ready made weld in part to save the ball ache of making one up. I would have thought that some pocket money would be left over from 50 after materials. There are a lot of terrano's that need this repair doing and owners are totally unaware!!

I would think you need to pitch a price somewhere between what Nissan would charge for genuine & what you need to charge to make it worth while.
