Patrol Y60 rear boot build
Following on from an Odd request, I thought I would start a new thread with a title that's a bit more relevant.
I have so far got the stainless panelling on the OS rear door ready for the drop down cooker shelf. I want a pull out shelf for the cool box so I can box over the top and maximise internal storage. I reckon that I can use the rear seat fixings to secure the build and make it removable to. |

I have a few sets of runners, if the shelves go on the Off Side then once the cooker is out the pull outs would be useless

I'm thinking a shallow shelf ta the bottom with the coolbox shelf on top on the near side.

Well after a bit of rootin' on the garage and a bit of head scratching I found some 40x20 unistrut and got it fitted solidly to the sides of the load bay.
I think the best use of stowage is to make the centre two bottom draws a bit narrower and make the space to the side and above the wheel arches more useable. Pop up chairs and roll up tables wind breaks etc |

Watching with interest. I think I've come up with the configuration I want at the back of the Terrano, but I'm always keen to see what other peeps are doing. http://www.expeditionportal.com/foru...re-Truck-Build Looks like the basis for mine.
Looking good so far. |

The main problem I am having at the moment is working out how to make it easily removable.

When I get around to doing mine which will prob be over the winter i'll be going for 2 wooden frames bolted together so once the bolts are removed 1 side can be lifted up above the other & out of the rear door but due to the T2 only having a single door the N/S draw has to be narrower to slide out & clear the back door but this will give a good size storage bin down the side by the wheel arch on the N/S for storing my tools etc with a smaller bin on the O/S
Dom Simon some great builds on expedition portal & there are also a couple of T2 builds on there with one having a raised rear floor built which might help you |

Had a little look with the new cool box and looks like it might just fit like a glove

Where does the bed and sink fit
Want to do a bit more on mine in the rear but need to keep enough space for the dog cage as she rides everywhere with me. Looking good by the way |
