Default 9 D of E Bronze Expedition Passes This Weekend

So proud of these young people that I've been supervising this weekend, whole group of 9 passed with flying colours. Just some final ticks in the boxes and they'll be getting their certificates.

Feels great to be staff helping them on their way, totally shattered tonight.

Excellent, a worthwhile activity and good to see kids doing something active and constructive rather than sitting on computer games (sorry Alex).

Well done Jim, that you devote your time to these youngsters is very commendable, and worthwhile, I bet you feel elated as well as shattered, Rick

Yeah that's it Rick, I certainly do.

They did a practice exped only two weeks ago but the improvement in them in just two weeks is huge. It's a real buzz to see young people pushing themselves and achieving is great. I know I post about it occasionally but I never tire of this. Makes my studying so worth while. Doubt I'd get as much of a buzz if I got paid to do this.

Now I've got next weekend off to get stuck in to my project truck, following weekend is teaching them first aid which will give them a qualification.

We have noticed a lot of D of E youngsters hiking in our area and as our 2 did the same thing a few years back, I take my hat off to the kids for doing this and to people like you Jim, for giving up your time and all the effort you guys put into these events.
Well done

Those kids do not know how lucky they are to have someone like you who dedicates their time for their benefit, very well done and keep it up, not something I could do now, had loads of patience with fostering special needs a few years ago but, patience has run out not so much with the kids but petty bureaucracy within social services, plus getting far too old for such stuff, regards Rick

Well done Jim! My 13 y/o daughter is chomping at the bit waiting for her 14th birthday so she can get on with DofE.

I take my hat off to you.
