Default Weird bulbs- Jeep tail lamps

Had a stop lamp out so took out the rear lamp unit and was met with this !

To my surprise Halfrauds had one on the shelf £2.99 !

Think these are quite common now, my 2004 Honda Jazz has capless bulbs all round (except the headlights).

Clearly a lot of profit for the retailer for these. Packaging and handling adds considerably to the cost when bought retail.
They must be cheaper to make with less processes than the typical bayonet cap tail lights, which require a metal cap with pins inserted and a soldering process to two or three wires.

The car makers are probably buying those in for a few pence each, but in the thousands lol...

Son's got that sort on his 09 Hyundai coupe think they are getting fitted to more cars these days
