We are Grand Parents again.
Late last night, our son who now lives in Scotland, phoned us to let us know the arrival of their first baby, a girl weighing in at 3.6 kg or7lb15oz.
Mum and Baby doing well, father knac****d, Grandma and Gramps relieved and overjoyed. It is really a hard time for Dads at this time. lol It was a long labour and his wife needs some long earnt rest. They are going home tonight if all goes well. If you recall, my son came face to face with an uninvited guest last week in their house, so they have both gone through a rough time. We are really pleased. Richard

Congratulations to you all Rustic. Something positive to concentrate on and forget the bad experience they had.

Thanks all for your good wishes, I hope we are out the otherside, just need some warmer days, and now we have the lighter evenings.
A new baby is magic too. Our son and family are leaving Scotland in the next week or so, to live with us, as my son is starting a new job abroad soon in a few weeks... He will fly out leaving his wife and baby with us, until he gets established, finds a new home and gets all the right Visas in place. What a start to family life. Why can't things be straight forward? At least we get to be with the new baby in the early few weeks of her life... We will make the most of that.
