Talking Success !!!

back in sept a doctor crashed into me smashing my drivers door mirror off .... some of you will remember the dash cam video of the incident , the other driver disputed the crash , even though i stated i had video evidence , my insurance company asked me to send the original sd card containing the footage ...... got a letter this morning .... " the other party has accepted full liability for the incident and requests that all invoices be sent to them for payment .

Great news
On board cameras are getting very popular now, but best to carry a spare SD card, as if you are on a long journey, you could wrap around and record over the important video footage, before you get home.
So we tend to swap cards, after an event, then if we feel it might have repercussions, I upload it to the main computer.
The biggest cause for concern, is cars undertaking at speed, and don't give anyone a chance as they don't indicate either.
Why don't people allow enough time for their journey?
The other concern is when you see a vehicle wandering across the white line for no reason, I think, am I better off behind him, and risk being held up by a crash he has caused, or take a chance and overtake him, hoping he doesn't crash into me... Often when we overtake them, the driver is often texting on his / her phone, or holding it horizontally in front of their mouth whilst talking over it.... what is that all about? Do they think that not holding it against their ear means they are not on the phone?
Maybe we need side facing videos too...

nice one Peter, these things do take time but im glad they are accepting responsibility - just goes to show though how bare faced some people can be, would you trust this doctor? I don't think so, if they cant accept liability for a simple accident, they sure as hell aint going to be honest about your health.

Good stuff Briggie

Really frustrating when the other party continues to insist on their innocence even in the face of evidence to the contrary!
