Slindon 28th
Hi all anyone going, I am if I can get two rear bump stops/spring assisters fitted in the morning early enough, having put the trailer on tonight the rear of the car sits too low, (forgot they were missing) I could move the car back on the trailer but as it is 4 wheels the rear axle will be over the top, I do have the option of nicking the wifes car but she wanted to use it herself and she will not drive mine, (no pink stuff in it) sorry Rynne22 my usual winch girl is free, If I make it will get some pics, Rick

Aim to get stuck and be completely self sufficient in extraction, love getting muddy, 2ft deep is good but rare. |

Sorry guys and gels, no pics today, although we did recover a Suzuki that managed to get broadside on pretty much where my avitar is, rear in one track front in other, but 90 deg to the direction he needed to go, he had a winch and I was going to give him some help with blocks to get him in the correct position to exit down a steep slope to the right of the pic but out of shot, but he stalled it and could not restart, battery flat so winch no good, so I climbed the slope till I grounded, and ran the winch up and off a tree at right angles to drag him side ways into position, then reconnected the winch direct to him and pulled him over the brow so he could bump start on the downward leg, no pics purely because it was hard enough carrying kit up and down the very steep slope without the risk of cameras going in the dirt (as I did cos I could not lift my foot high enough to get over the rope, was committed to forward motion and went down) so glad Sarah was in the car and out of sight, or she would have taken a pic, anyway a good day although we arrived late, as the mounting bolts on my road going motor had been sheared so had to weld stops in place instead, such is life, Rick

no not good I would have lost it in the mud when I fell over, you have to experience it to believe it when out there, it is such hard work just getting around, Rick
