Default MOT time

Well MOT is due the end of the month so I took it in early, today infact.
I knew the 2 inner track rod ends were showing signs of wear and the headlamp aim was high since raising the front. Also wasn't too sure how i'd fare after removing front and rear arb's.

Well they were still doing the MOT when I went to pick it up after work, so I had a nervous wait.

No need for the nerves though as it passed no advisories either.
The tester did mention the arb's and the track rod ends he said weren't too bad. He even adjusted the headlights for me while I waited but didn't see any these points bad enough to fail it.

So, one happy bunny with a 12 yr old Terrano with 197,700 miles on the clock and another 12 months ticket

Excellent result mate 8)

Mines passed 86 000 miles and just gone 6 yrs old. I was just saying earlier today as I retire in 7 1/2 yrs (early retirement I stress) and will be treating myself then to a new motor I've set myself a challenge of keeping this one going until 200 000 miles.

You've given me some inspiration

Anyone else at or passed that mileage?????????

I wouldn't be surprised to hear of diesel engines with more mileage but i'm really impressed with the mileage for a petrol.

Will probably take the next 6 months to get to 200,000

I did thanks. Rain, leaves on the roads, part flooding near TBay what a larf : :

We were the very last outfit off the site as it closed for winter.

Thanks for your hospitality. I'll update as I get the towbar fitted.
