How much are you looking for? So far my luck is not going well, the last one I got arrived looking like this after the post office played pass the parcel
This should be round Note the curved (used to be straight) edge and the cover... I think we would pop down and collect your one. |

My intercooler was leaking where the cross tubes join the end castings... I looked into getting it repaired, but silly money, so I scrapped away and used liquid metal to repair. The problem was, the aluminium has corroded and turned to flaky white stuff, so as I repaired one leak, I created another. I got it sealed up, but it was a bit iffy, so I ordered one replacement one off Ebay. Stupidly, and mine was still OK, and I had a few other jobs under way, when it arrived, I checked it over, and it seemed OK and nice and clean. Once I got around to fitting it, it also had a leak, worse than my old one, but this time right up in the middle of the matrix, and impossible to get to. The trouble was, I left it too long between ordering and fitting to make a claim.
I ordered this one as a second replacement, and as you can see, they wrecked it, so the person who sent it, is in the process of putting in a claim, and we will wait and see, but based on past experience, I have never had a courier take the blame once, so I won't hold my breath. Gave it a good beating though to inflict all that on it. I was thinking of seeing if it would pressure test, just out of curiosity... |
