So what can cause mpg to drop.

Any ideas / tips.

bad air filter, bad fuel filter, the weather, low or uneven tyres, extra weight in the car clogged exhaust system...

Will check.

Fuel, changed not long ago. Didnt clean are filter.

A caravan on the back tends to kill the MPG You must have a look next time you go out lol...

Staying too long in low gears.
Driving with the hand brake on, or binding brakes.
Being in 4 wheel drive on dry tarmac roads.
Someone has found a way to easily remove fuel without you noticing.
Blocked air filter.
You have removed your plastic aerodynamic bumpers and have replaced with a couple of lengths of scaffolding pole.
Faulty exhaust not causing adequate back pressure.
High speed driving
Low speed low gear crawling in traffic.
