Lancaster bomber.
Blackpool airshow is on the 10th of august.
The mighty Lancaster bomber is making an appearance. Is anyone going?. Its a free show over the beach. And does anyone know where and when it is flying with the Canadian one in august. I must see them together. |

Lancaster
Hi Exosteve
If you love the Lanc thought this might interest you. Lincolnshire Aviation Heritage Centre East Kirkby Spilsby Lincs PE23 4DE http://www.lincsaviation.co.uk/lancaster-taxy-rides/ Live in Lincolnshire not far from here so been a few times, can't beat standing close as they start up the Merlins!!! I believe one of the airshows where both Lancaster's are flying is Shoreham. Cheers |

So far Ive heard Shoreham and Duxford will be having both Lancs. the Canadian sets off 4th August and eta Conningsby 8th August. Once here they have to train with BBMF, and get their display certification from CAA. Blackpool might be a bit too early but Im doing my best to find out, my next tactic is to use my official email address to see if I get any response. I will post any info on here as I find out. Im kind of hoping they'll do Derwent Res but thats wishful thinking. Another place I want to visit is Mach Loop in Wales but doubt we will get the Lancs there.

Was at Waddington Air Show,Lincoln just over a week ago. Great to see and hear the Lancaster and to see what was probably the last flight for the Vulcan from its traditional home. Have to say though the show stoppers for me were the Tornado and F16 displays. The ability of those pilots is amazing.
