Default Terrano Wings

How hard is it to change a front wing on a 2001 Y plate LWB Terrano? Are they bolted on?

very easy, but be careful - several bolts in the engine bay, then a couple of slightly awkward bolts between it and the door (open the door fully) then a couple down by the mud guard. When done, lift out slightly, unplug the indicator (if it has one) you will note there is a small ball-type fixing on the front corner of the wing - it kinda rotates a little, so pull that out as well (if memory serves me, there is a bolt also but I might be wrong...that's it.

Got to get the blinking thing yet, all my questions on here could come to nought. He said that he would get it MOT'd this week. I am away on holiday this Friday to Monday. I am a bit reluctant to ring him as he and his wife are quite poorly and she is having an operation next week.

you have yet to get the motor and you are looking for hard to get bits for it, but I have to admit to not reading posts fully, Rick

Well I'm not on here for the benefit of my health

I like to get clued up, I'm not some sort of freak that likes to hang about on 4x4 forums It's all out of my hands at the moment. It's a family member that is practically giving his Terrano away as he is too ill to drive it, said he will put a fresh MOT on it and I am waiting. But as I've said, I am not going to push it as they are both poorly. Shall I shut up until I get it?

Default Can I post now?

Just checking if I am allowed to post now solarman216?

Terrano is being picked up tomorrow morning, family member put a fresh MOT on it for me for no extra charge Went through, but had to have £350 worth of welding on the chassis

So I should not be too dodgy now Rick

Anyway I will wait until I get the green light from the forum if I can post or not.

Dunno what may of gone on but dont worry water under bridge life is far too short for grudges. Concentrate on your new motor and im sure your family member will be taking comfort it has gone to you. Now get some pictures posted of it and the very best of luck with your new motor

I will post some dirty pictures (not like that ) when I pick it up tomorrow as it's been stood for around a year.

Anyway I'll stop adding to this 'wings' thread
