Default MOT Day

So the dreaded day has arrived
I'm pooing my pants, really don't want to have to throw any more money at Marvin the Maverick as he's been spoiled enough these past few months!!!!!

Anti Roll Bar Polybushes
New Droplinks and Polybushes
Compression Rod Polybushes
New Tie Rod Ends
New Discs and Pads
2 Newish front Tyres
New Water Pump
New Starter Motor
New Thermostat
746 Fuel Filters

He's been Waxoyled as best as I could given the time I had left, I've just been so busy with work and other stuff!!!! I was still underneath it this morning at 2am, yes yes my neighbors love me

Here's a picture of how he stands at the moment

I've also removed the bullbar as 2 brackets have now snapped on it and I don't fancy my chances on the motorway should it fall off, it's bloody rotten anyway, I've been scammed with that one!!!! I think I'm just going to mount 3-4 hella Comet 500's on the front bumper between the headlights, similar to what revolvor has done

WISH ME LUCK

Yeah that's def on my next list of things to do should it pass with no issues
I didn't much like the bull bar anyway as it really limited my ground clearance, I've managed to wedge myself before now because of it and had to be pulled off by a mate lol

Where you getting your bumper from?

Do they use all of the existing mounting points or do they need to be welded on etc?

it uses existing bumper mount. me and makeitfit never had any problems with the strength of the existing mount.

Catastrophic failure of a major component , like door not opening, resulting in a void test
OR did something fall on the examiners head

Wrong on both counts lol

I've taken it in to the garage at work that do all the maintenance on our fleet vehicles and one of the MD's had rocked up with his VW Golf with the ABS light flashing so intimidately mine was pushed to the back of the queue, there was only one guy in and he was taken up all day with this job so they are testing it today instead

Feel sorry for the MD who owns the Golf though!!! Apparently it needed a new ABS pump which was a dealer part and set him back £598

It's Failed

x1 Small patch of rust that needs welding up by drivers side front body mount

x1 Drivers Side leaking brake pipe where it attaches to caliper (I think I'm just going to need a new copper washer

x5 Pins missing in the castle nuts on the drivers side lower drop link and both inner and outer tie rod ends on both sides woopsie

Apart from that just an advisory for a small Oil leak on the sump supposedly

And an Advisory for using too much Waxoyl

Now to get back from Nottingham and collect it and get the work done

Anyone handy with a welder who fancies an earner tonight? I don;'t mind travelling
