Has anyone used a "gas less mig", what are they like. Can you do bodywork jobs ok or is a gas version better.

SWP excellent welders Like all these things spend as much as you dare. My son had a gasless one Sealy Mighty Mig150 it was poo without gas on body work. It's ok on bigger stuff though.
Main prob with the cheaper ones is the power settings, usually just 4 settings Way too few for body work especially rusty work So look for ones with progressive power control |

i have 1 like this but made 20miles away by IFL in honiton it will do down to the thinnest car body .6mm i have used it on the airbox for the terrano which is thiner than the body work no problem it will weld up to 5mm with no prep work get on to www.mig-welding.co.uk and ask and search for what is best for u buy cheap and it ends up more expensive in long run and sign up to machine mart email and they send u a coupon once every 3 weeks or so for vat free shopping my mig cost me £400 as i am local to ifl but that helps to as if anything goes wrong no problem or if you need a hand to set it up they r in the country to help |
