Bits and Bobs I Need
I've decided that today I was going to make a list of parts that I need and post it on here and let you kind ladies and gentleman have a dig around to see what you have for me
I've already posted threads here and there informally asking for bits and bobs but now i'm making it official; SWB Roof Lining (with sunroof hole) preferably immaculate/very clean Drivers Side "A" Pillar Plastic Drivers Side & Passengers Side Heater Vents Rear Brake Load Sensing Valve Passengers Side Wing - This I have some questions about, I'd prefer one in the colour of my car however I've heard that I'll be lucky to get one that isn't rotted at all so my question is, is it best to get any one that i can find and get it re-sprayed professionally or repair my current one? I've seen a repair thread on the forum but I'm not sure I would be very confident doing this myself I've had a look on eBay and I can never seem to find one in my colour, where can I find the paint code for my car, will it be on the VIN? if so which bit corresponds to the paint code. Let me know what you have and how much you want Thanks |

repairing the wing is never going to be successful long term unless you remove it and sandblast the rust, best is to find a good wing and repaint it, Rick

Wings are like gold dust as no one makes them in the UK anymore. I have been told some one in Germany still does them but they were £300 each. (I never checked this out)
I gave up finding any for mine and had booked the truck in with a welder to see what he could do with the wings i have, then 2 days before it was booked in i found two on Ebay in Nottingham (25 minutes from me) i went and picked them up that night. They were MK1 wings but they fit the MK2, you just have to swap the plastic trims over and drill 4 new holes. All of the body bolts are in the same place so you could leave the MK1 trim on if you wanted to. If you can find any in your colour and in good condition, then i sugest you also do the Euro Millions the same day. |
