My Fiat Stilo damage
heyup chaps.
I have put this in the Pub because its not even nissan related!! I am just hoping for your sage advice so, I have a 3 door, Fiat Stilo. I adore the car. Last night, I was reversing down the drive when i lightly scraped the concrete post that stops a car from falling off the edge. The damage is heavy scratches as you would expect, and minor dents that need pulling/tapping out. now, i Have never had this sort of issue before, and as I really love this car, I want to get it fixed. I am looking at these mobile repairers, are they any good? this is the damage: as the panels are pretty flat, and the colour nothing special, does it look like a regular repair job? what do you reckon the costs are? |

Sent you a PM Clivvy
Jim PS hope you're proud of that car. Not so often you come across a FIAT that's still standing after a bump like that |

I was going to offer some advice......But as its a FIAT, i can't be arsed.
A Mav would of ripped the post out and beat the gate to death with it. |

you'll be surprised that theres hardly any, these cars are quite rare when compared to your regular golf equivalent.!! its a fair point though, i looked into new panel and doors-there arent any in my colour BUT, id have a major problem with mismatchd colour. so, to me, fo rthat sort of damaged, its got to be body shop. I have it booke dinto a place in Bradford tomorrow morning, chap reckons he can get it done this week for me (i go on HOliday Saturday) and he reckons about £200 but he needs to see it properly. i dont think thats too bad an dit'll teach me to be more careful more....! |

Good luck, I feel for you, nothing worse than pranging your pride and joy, but I have to say it did not stop me laughing at some of the replies, this lot really are merciless.

aye, thats what I like about 'em!
I got the car booked in tomorrow with a chap in Bradford, he's a friend of a friend. Without seeing it, he reckons tops £200, maybe less, but of course ill know for sure when he see's it tomorrow. PLus, he can do it this week. ive ordered a new indicator as well which was only £7 delivered so should get that this week and i am back to normal. did some work on the car Saturday too, new battery, air filter and polen filter, got myself 65MPg when i filled up and have averaged 51Mpg on the long runs, and 38 around town to and from work. I shudder to think what my Maverick is giving me...... speaking of which , I really need to check and blank the egr on the Maverick! |

I think £200 is a good price, considering the working involved to repair the damage, so im pretty chuffed, oh and he should have it done by Thursday! |
