video camera info
hi guys, i'm thinking of buying a video camera as i'm putting a lot of vids onto youtube now, my canon g10 is a awesome camera, just not that good for videos
just wondering if anyone here knows a thing or two about video cams. i dont want to buy cheap crap, i could probably max at £165 |

well, you want a full HD camera, and for £165 you should be able to get somethig half decent, something like this:
http://www.directtvs.co.uk/Panasonic...-K/version.asp I know its £199, but its an example. Personally, id go digital all the way, youll find it much easier when uploading to your computer, you just need to get a decent HD one with a good lens. |

careful, its only 0.8 MP.......thats pretty shite mate. its 2 lux-so will be pants in low light, its SD card, which will make it a bit slow. I wouldnt buy that if i were you.

most of my recording is done with a basic camera, samsung pl-70.
Works very well and nice and small. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hWLbVR_p_HM - recorded and uploaded as 720p. Put the quality up to see what it's like. |

its a fair point though, most normal cameras are excellent for video recording, mine is, i think it records video at the full 7mpx and down samples it, and the camera is ultra thin, light and ace quality (Casio s something or other, ultra slim jobby)
