You know what the Welsh say boyo...

If you can see the mountains in Wales, it is going to rain.
If you can't see them, it is raining.

When we had a tin tent..... many years ago.... we used to spend a lot of time at Dyfrynn, half way between Barmouth and Shell Island.

That wind on the beach, dries the sand and sand blasts your ankles, gets rid of all the dried skin, then the skin down to the bone.....

Enjoy the break.

You keep that tin tent up north mate and you'll have a splendid time
I've had a quick look at the seaweed and conferred with my pine cones and am happy to report a gap in the rain next Monday morning around 10.30 to lunch time
Enjoy

Unless you have A stainless chassis wouldnt go near the beach look at any truck that spends any time round the coast & you find the rot but plenty of places to get down if you want turn left out of park carry on till see round about turn right over bridge & turn 2nd right(only A wall between 2nd & 1st )presto your on pensarn beach ( am not welsh either)

The pebbles are the worst thing, when I first got the Mav we went to Deganwy, opposite Conway, and the only parking place was on some very round pebbles, so I drove onto them, and the rear axle dug down into them
So I was being watched so we parked it to save any embarresment, and came back when no one was around.....

I needn't have bothered, 4 wheel drive and she reversed back no problems.

But round pebbles are like driving on ball bearings, they fly everywhere and you go down to the axle in no time.
