L**d R***r bodied T2
I've often thought it would be great to stick a T2 engine into a L**d R***r but possibly even easier just to rebody the T2 chassis with a LR.....I wonder what difference the 3" or so in extra wheelbase would make...could you hide it or cut something out?

I want a engine-less defender 90 to put put the running gear off dirty frog in
In My Opinion The best 4x4 chassis & the best diesel lump Go for it Ya might have to loose or gain a few inchs on the chassis but thats not a hard job |

And by keeping the rolling chassis you get to keep all the benefits of the T2 including LSD, comfy seats, aircon, yadda yadda yadda...just a simple bit of bodywork instead of all that replumbing.... |

I got carried away on what i would like to do I think the 90 / 110 chassis has a bit more of a lift front & rear for the body clearing wheel articulation They seem to have more of an angle than others all bar pick-ups Anyway back on topic Are you thinking serious about doing it or just pondering I'm guessing you want the room & comfort from the disco |

there is no way a t2 will beat a td5 in a race, i have had two t2's and yes they are quick, but not as quick as my td5, i admit the 200-300 wont stay with a t2 but the td5 is another animal mate, my missus hated the earlier l/r's we had but this one, well she wants to take it out and give it a good thrashing, she cant believe the difference, i wouldn't mind a thrashing now and again lol. se you at brands hatch
