Default snow driving

stupid question time 8O when the road is snowy/icey can i put it into 4wd without damaging anything?

Yip no problem!! i found that i stayed in 2wd until you feel it sliding or you can see it's going to be slidey,i know that if you keep it 4wd on dry roads you can wind them up!!

Default Driving in 4 wheel drive

Can only get it into 4L, the gear stick wont go forward into 2H - 4H.
What am I doing wrong? Can anyone help?

Push down on the lever then forwards which will take you into 4H & then into 2WD depending how far forward you push it. To select 4L you'll have pulled the gear stick back into 4H & have pushed down. The reason for having to push the lever down is for safety as you need to be at a stand still to go into or out of 4L but going from 2WD to 4H can be done on the move

Put it in neutral and try again.
Should be in 2H for normal road driving,pull back one notch on transfer lever for 4H,one more pull back will put it in neutral on transfer box,push the lever down and back for 4L.
Try it without engine running to see if you can find the gears on transfer box.
