cb setup
ok got meself one of them cb talky box thingies, its a barracuda, they any good? also never plugged anything like this in am i right in thinking i put the red wire to the fuse box and the black wire on the bodywork somewhere to earth it?

Red to any fairly decent power source, No idea how many amps it pulls but can't be more than 1-2 amps. Black to ground.
I prefer to run power straight from the battery to reduce any possible electronic noise received on the CB. But should be fine done as above. I had to run one for other radios that draw more power. Where abouts you planning on mounting it, The small cubby hole infront of the gearstick makes a perfect place. |

ok , assuming your aerial is pre swrd .... go ahead as fez suggested , used a personally ive used a cigarette lighter adapter with a fuse in line , but only because im lazy and wanted a quick release to take it out , cos of theivin sods around here

If you do it that way stick a fuse close to the battery on the + side (red).

loads of people on sideband though , which is illegal , and i dont know anything about it , its just a rumour ive heard ...... ideal for dx or distance conversations to various countries though , or so ive heard
