Well NFU for me every time. I think they are brill.
It isn't just the price, which they are certainly very competative on, but it is the ease of dealing with them. They are so easy to talk to and don't ask dumbass questions. Having said that, whatever company you mention someone will tell you of both good and bad experiences. |

NFU need to get their act together.
i asked them for a quote and i make no bones in people knowing that i manage a large gun shop in north east london. as soon as i tell them this they refuse to insure me. all because i may have a gun in the car at some point, f@ckin eeejits! every farmer i know has a gun of some sort and surely the NFU know that it is illegal to leave your firearm or shotgun unattended in ya car! so with this in mind are all those farmers that are insured with NFU insured correctly? makes me feel like a 2nd class citezen even though i am probably one of the most law abiding one's due to my job. |

Regarding insurance, check your documents very carefully when they arrive. Ever had a company knock a large amount off their quote ? I did but when it came time to renew I discovered they had removed my convictions to make the quote lower. I don't know if this is common practice and it was afew years ago, just make sure you get what you're paying for ! I've been with Direct Line for around 5 years as they are consistantly cheapest.
