Well I cant be responsible for your pump but I can tell you mine has been fine.
See the many many threads on bio/veggie etc.
You'll need to change the oil less when on veggie I thought. Fuel filters will initially need changing more frequently on bio but not sure on veggie.
There is a web site somewhere that'll tell you if it's safe to run on veggie, think, think, er, nope, cant remember.
However DieselBob's website has a section on running bio /svo etc check there as it gives a lot of good info that might help you

Stinka, get a spare fuel filter now as in the first 300ish miles, you'll find the veg oil will clean up the contents of your tank straight into the fuel filter

Apart from that, I've had no worries at all with yeah olde veggie oil. You may want to look at a good funnel (get rid of the filter if you buy a bendy funnel from Halfrauds) or even a wee hand pump to get the stuff in there without spilling loads down the side of the truck as a 20l cubie of oil doesn't pour too easily!

feck it. im putting some veg oil in mine as well as soon as i can this week. Just been out. had 1/4 of a tank of diesel, but i need to go to Leeds for an exam, so figured i may as well go fill up as ill need fuel for the weekend. Off i went, queing at my local Shell to ONE PUMP. SO I drove all the way back home to the garage I dont like to use because they are expensive and ignorant, filled up! After I did it though, guy was stood there, locks the pump, "youre the last one"

"ok" i replied lol, eh??

anyways, veg oil bargains here i come!

I think the Goverment has released the rumer that there will be a strike so to take all our minds off the price of fuel,
that they increased it at the buget, that will all be forgoten just because we need fuel, and that we will pay any think to get it. sneeky Bs
