it's obvious to me that racists don't know how to protest or complain, everyhtuing is down to race, so instead of protesting to bring furl prices down we 'round up the immigrants' brilliant idea

lets get all the other countries to send all out migrants back here too shall we and then see what a mess we would all be in.

I noticed todya the fuel at our locl texaco garage is very exspensive, turns out the bloke that runs it comes from Srilanka! the blokes a bloody foreigner no wonder his fuel has gone up

what a load of bloody nonsense.

Now then back to fuel protests, a good idea! and if we could stop the racists (and the Bitmap fans) veering off course long enough, we might be able to organise one.

Who was it who said "Politicians never lie................................. except when they open their mouths" ???

I don't know but they're pretty much right. I struggle to think of one honest politician, our local mp frank field doesn't want to raise his head against the parapet any more than he has to..........

Roll on fuel protests, I'll be out there, fuel permitting..... of course.

we could bring this country to its knees if we so decided, but how to keep it peaceful? and of course, lawful?

Now I'm trying to think of a name for him, sounds like a big metal thing hanging from front of a ship

Not sure how success the French farmers and fishermen seem to have but they certainly know how to protest.

Jim
two points to raise,
1/ we should tie those lying toerag politicians like no vat raise cameron to a big anchor and threaten to loose it with 50' of 4" chain unless he lowers duty,
2/ we don't have any bloody ships with a uk flag these days to do it with tho, and our fishing fleet is decimated....... thanks to the foreigners.....

not only is this country being shafted by the CONserviatives and those wet and useless liberals, but its already been raped by the EU........

we couldn't protest like the french, we don't have the resources, we need another set of tools......

Absolutely right R1co.The motorst is an easy and available target.A fuel protest is an excellent idea but it must be properly co ordinated.I think the last one did the job very well and it should be done again.Problem is everyone is so busy just trying to put food on the table they have to think twice before they go out and spend weeks doing nothing except wave placards. All in favour say "Aye"

A protest sounds like a good idea. Maybe Facebook is the place to seed the idea? It could be as simple as driving to the speed limit all the time, and switching one's engine off at traffic lights, back on again when the lights change. Nothing illegal about that, in fact it's absolutely good for the environment, and saves fuel.

i like your ideas, did you see my post about a 'lazy protest' basically just do noting for a day and stay at home, if millions did it think of the impact on the economy. Maybe my idea is a bit ambitious but, no gatherings of people mean no police action, and no violence and conflict. I'm with Ghandi, passive resistance, it's the only form of protest that has ever really worked

Plank, yes, I did see what you said. It's a very good idea. Passive resistance, no crime committed. I think the key is in the numbers, if enough people engage in civil disobedience then the authorities can't really do anything about it, but you have to get lots of people and that is difficult in this post-Thatcher "I'm alright Jack" world where most folk are only concerned about their next DFS sofa half price interest free and no payments for the first year
