Anyhow, Ryan, you still have the knowledge of these Nissans, and I expect that you will continue to chip in on the stuff you have learnt, and to be fair, not many people know what's behind the roof lining or under the carpets and panels better than you.

Now Take Clivvy, he helped a newbie within 2 minutes of his first post yesterday, and he doesn't have a Nissan anymore, there is something about owning these vehicles that get you addicted to ensure that others still remain on the road.

Am I sad? ... I get upset every time one is scrapped, but on the brighter side, it becomes a donor, and it's parts can live on in another host.

Mine says Ford too, but all the parts are Nissan.
If it was really 100% Ford, do you really think that mine would still be running after 18 years

Nissan put a cat amongst the pigeons when they first introduced the Maverick, as they had to have 3 years warranty as per the Terrano, something that Ford was not doing at the time with any of their other vehicles, in fact it was several years after before Ford increased their warranty beyond a year.

Had Ford not honoured the three year warranty that Nissan proposed, then the Ford Maverick would have been a white Elephant.

Why did I buy Ford, and not Nissan from new?
Ford gave a better deal and I preferred the grey drab interior trim over the more colourful Nissan.

At the time I was also looking at the Vauxhall Frontera ( Isusu), but the higher towing capacity of the Maverick won the day. Thank goodness.

Just wish I could drive it more.
