'ok snow, I've had my fun offroading, ploughing into drifts, making my terrano do really weird and disturbing things ohh, and watching my friend sledging on her bin lid 'that's how we roll in Scotland', can you please Bugger off now?

Water supply is Crap, literally, low pressure and its also brown water coming out the taps so we ain't drinking it, as I think is poo, doesn't smell tho, we are gonna get extensive flooding too

Electric is going off so I was sitting in my truck for over 3 hours with the engine running, charging phones, listening to the radio and keeping warm,

mum and dad were out at a party againso didn't have to worry about them, power is back on now sit of, but keeps surging and blowing the breakers

sounds like you have a burst main somewhere dude, I think? brown water is usually an indication of contamination from a burst pipe...

anyhoo...I wish I had a 4x4 RIGHT NOW. seriously...I could proper cry. all I can think is, THE FUN. THE FUN I HAVE MISSED round the back of the house alone, never mind the f*cked streets im surrounded by. I could've gone up the school fields, I could have gone up Outlane where its closed and dangerous. I could've I could've....

That road at Outlane that leads to Newhey is a ripe candidate for closing.
Further up past Nont Sarahs (spelling?) and where they do the hang gliding is wild and woolly!
I used to use that road once or twice a week on my motorbike, had a friend that lived in Bradley Grange.

Blackstone Edge Road coming out of Rochdale was always one of the first to close on the west of the Pennines. I drove the gritters for Rochdale council for a few years, used to love it when the snow fell, and we were called out with the ploughs.

ah so you used to be local then?! yeah, Outlane was closed the other day, well, the road was! I imagine its hell up there with it being so open-the drifts will be amazing. The last time we had bad snow (last year) I managed to get up there in the Maverick, and even then there was a lot of snow on the sides of the road.

I WISH WISH WISH I had a 4x4 right now!!!!!

Yes, I'm from Rochdale originally, I now live in exile up here!

You'll get another 4x4, bide your time and try to purchase in the summer months when this weather has been forgotten.

I was just the same when I sold my last one (although I didn't have to sell it), I kept thinking I could manage without one. As soon as the weather turned I was kicking myself.
The good thing to come out of it is I ended up with something I wanted all along (Terrano) and my wife actually agreed with me!!!!!!!!!
