It says on the MOT if the vehicle is left at the testing station for repair and it is done within 10 days there is no retest fee.
This is known as a Partial Re-Examination or Partial Retest, if you remove the vehicle then its a full "Paid" retest. However, if you return the next day (Within 24 hours) with certain areas then it could also be free. |

Re test fees are down to garage if you remove ie they dont get the work.The one i use charges £35.50 for the test and doesnt charge for re test.I never bother to check anything prior to mot they just give me a list of jobs to do it take it back and doesnt cost a penny

my garage lets me take it away for 14 days and get a free retest on the failed items.
