My G.C is terrible! I think its designed for much bigger wheels than what is supplied standard...
When goiung through one of those speed checkers my speedo reads about 33/34mph but the speed sign states around 28mph!
Wondered why folk were flying past me when my speedo is reading 70

My T2 is the opposite,
the speedo shows i am going 4 miles an hour slower than i actually am, according to my sat nav anyway. Till reading this i thought it was my sat nav that was wrong as i am running the standard tyre size.

Dont go by those checkers especially with only that difference, most are way out one by us (I guess it must be battery os solar powered) has real wobblers but is ususally conked out the next tie you go past. I was apparently doing 50 odd in a 30 following a tractor not so log back

always been a fan of at2 as a 50/50

but now looking at cooper st, called 60/40 off/road
and bigger brother stt the mudder.

the st is called at to mt so bit more mud than an at
but not full blown mt of the stt!

also good range of sizes, indeed about only new mud
found in my 265/70 16 troll fitment.

Daved - unfortunately not, only 15" & 16".
Not many cheap options available in 17", best value at the moment for me seems to be the KL71s

I have 265/70 R17 General Grabber AT2 on my Patrol. They are available in a number of 17ins sizes, IIRC.

I did consider the Kumho KL71s when I bought the AT2s - but they weren't readily available at the time. It also bothered me that they were directional, so there's only a 50-50 chance that the spare will be any use other than as a "get-you-home". Also, I reckon the AT2 will be better than the KL71 on snow and on dry/wet tarmac and on most unsealed lanes. Obviously, the KL71 will be better on deep, gloopy mud - but from memory, the only time I've seen any of that recently was on Gorbeck Road for a half mile or so - and the AT2s did OK even there.
